 Purple flowers

Of special interest is the driveway leading into the Schmeig garden. Custom free-standing trellises provide a backdrop for Confederate jasmine which provides fragrance while screening the neighboring house. The back garden contains an assortment of Austin roses, antique roses and modern roses used for cutting.

Follow the path into the Smith garden, where in true cottage garden fashion, roses intermingle with perennials, annuals and herbs. The curvaceous beds overflow with colorful plants, including purple coneflower, Confederate jasmine, hydrangea, dianthus, pentas, gazania, duranta, plumbago, dwarf dahlia, daylilies and dozens of varieties of fragrant Austin roses. Meticulously tended, this is a garden to delight the senses. Note potscaping techniques where planted pots are nestled into the landscape.
