Twenty-four magnificent life-size bronze sculptures of wild animals dominate this naturalistic garden enclosed by woodland. These extraordinary works are creations by famed United States sculptors, including Dan Ostermiller, Star Liana York and Chris Navarro. The five-acre site surrounds the historic antebellum mansion and contains centuries-old oaks, pecan trees and majestic camellia shrubs. Recently purchased by Ginger Hyland, the landscape is a work in progress as new plantings are added to highlight to this unusual sculpture garden. The entry focal point is a newly completed custom three-tiered, twelve foot wrought iron fountain. Winged cranes spurt water from the top tier, while decorative flowers emit water into the lower levels. The fountain is the largest private fountain in Natchez.
Musical performance by participants in the Natchez Festival of Music will take place at 3 p.m. on the rear gallery.
